Our Story: From Discovery to Excellence with Supreme Coatings
Before 2019, Cerakote wasn’t on Chris’s radar. At the time, he was working at a well-known motocross store, regularly attending industry shows and events. One particular bike caught his eye, it stood out because of its unique coating. Intrigued, Chris dove into research once he got home and discovered the game-changing product behind the look: Cerakote.
Further investigation revealed a surprising gap, there were no local Cerakote applicators in the area. Driven by curiosity and opportunity, Chris reached out to Cerakote UK to explore the possibility of becoming an applicator himself. Confident in the product’s potential, Chris made a bold decision: with unwavering support from his wife, India, he left his job to launch Supreme Coatings Limited.
Building a Vision During Lockdown
Supreme Coatings began its journey in 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 lockdown, as a one-man operation. Starting primarily in the automotive industry, Chris’s early work was driven by a surge of interest from people spending time at home, restoring their motorcycles and vehicles.
As lockdown restrictions eased, the business shifted focus from primarily working with individual customers to building strong business-to-business relationships.
Investing in Growth
Starting with just one oven, a single booth and a shot blaster, Supreme Coatings steadily grew. By August 2024, the company had outgrown its original premises. Chris decided to reinvest, moving the business to a larger facility and equipping it with state-of-the-art machinery to meet increasing demand.
